Further to last week’s item on the wood fuel sustainability and the new Biomass Suppliers List, Rainbow Heat and Power have put together a page to guide you through the process and what you need to do to make sure you are RHI compliant when the new criteria comes into effect early 2015.
The Government is urging all participants to start sourcing their woodfuel from the BSL site as soon as possible. Although suppliers listed on the site will all be approved to have met the sustainability criteria this is not a guarantee of quality. All participants of the RHI are also reminded to check their woodfuel products meet the quality standard required, such as EN Plus. The criteria vary between the Commercial and Domestic RHI and different criteria are to be applied to wood fuel and self-supplied fuel, which we have outlined in our guide.
